Special Issue on Photochemistry and Applications

Photochemistry and Applications investigates how light drives molecular transformations and influences chemical behavior across diverse scientific and technological settings. Research in this area includes photon-induced reaction mechanisms, luminescent compounds, photosensitive materials, ultraviolet radiation chemistry, and the design of light-activated molecular systems. Particular attention is given to applications in atmospheric chemistry, optical sensing, fluorescence imaging, drug delivery, advanced coatings, semiconductor processing, and solar fuel production. By integrating fundamental chemical principles with emerging experimental methods, this field supports the development of innovative solutions for energy conversion, environmental monitoring, healthcare, and advanced materials engineering.
