Special Issue on Ecological Restoration

Ecological Restoration examines the recovery of degraded, damaged, or disturbed ecosystems through scientifically informed interventions that rebuild ecological functions, biodiversity, and long-term resilience. Research in this area addresses the restoration of forests, wetlands, grasslands, rivers, coastal zones, and other natural habitats, with attention to native species recovery, habitat connectivity, soil and water quality, invasive species management, and ecosystem processes. It also considers restoration planning, monitoring and assessment, climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, and the integration of ecological, social, and economic considerations. Advances in restoration ecology provide practical approaches for conserving biodiversity, improving ecosystem services, and enhancing the capacity of ecosystems to respond to environmental change.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Ecological Restoration. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
