Special Issue on Comparative Literature
Comparative
Literature examines literary works across languages, cultures, historical
periods, and intellectual traditions, with attention to how texts engage with
different cultural contexts and forms of artistic expression. It considers
relationships among authors, genres, movements, and traditions while exploring
themes such as identity, memory, migration, modernity, translation, and
cultural exchange. The field also investigates literary reception, adaptation,
intertextuality, narrative structures, and the movement of ideas between
societies. By placing works within broader cultural and historical contexts,
comparative literary research can reveal connections, contrasts, and new
interpretations that may not be apparent through the study of individual
literary traditions alone.
In this special issue, we intend to invite
