Special Issue on

Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development

Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development promotes the design of chemical products and processes that reduce environmental harm while maintaining efficiency, functionality, and economic viability. The field addresses the prevention of hazardous substances, efficient use of raw materials and energy, renewable feedstocks, waste reduction, safer solvents, catalytic transformations, and the development of environmentally compatible materials. It also encompasses emerging approaches such as biocatalysis, electrochemical and photochemical synthesis, carbon utilization, circular chemical production, and life-cycle evaluation, supporting the transition toward cleaner manufacturing, responsible resource use, and long-term environmental sustainability.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Green synthesis
  • Sustainable catalysis
  • Renewable feedstocks
  • Green solvents
  • Waste minimization
  • Atom economy
  • Energy-efficient processes
  • Biocatalysis
  • Photochemical chemistry
  • Electrochemical chemistry
  • Circular chemistry
  • Carbon dioxide utilization
  • Sustainable polymers
  • Safer chemical design
  • Green analytical chemistry
  • Life cycle assessment

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development” should be selected during your submission.
