Special Issue on Advances in Applied Geology

Advances in Applied Geology covers the application of geological knowledge, methods, and technologies to address practical challenges in natural resources, engineering, environmental protection, and sustainable development. Key areas include mineral and energy resources, geological mapping, structural geology, geotechnical investigations, hydrogeology, engineering geology, sedimentology, geomorphology, geohazards, environmental geology, and subsurface characterization. The field also incorporates geophysical and geochemical techniques, remote sensing, geographic information systems, and numerical modeling to improve the understanding and management of geological systems. By integrating fundamental geological research with applied technologies and interdisciplinary approaches, it supports responsible resource utilization, infrastructure development, hazard mitigation, and environmental management.
