Special Issue on

Biological Control: Approaches and Applications

Biological control  is the use of living organisms-such as predators, parasitoids, pathogens, and herbivores-to suppress populations of pest organisms, including insects, weeds, and plant pathogens. It is an ecologically based approach that reduces reliance on chemical pesticides, protects biodiversity, and enhances agricultural sustainability. The field integrates principles from ecology, entomology, plant pathology, and weed science, and its application is highly context-dependent, requiring site-specific design based on local conditions. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of Biological Control: Approaches and Applications.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Biological Control: Approaches and Applications. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Classical Biological Control
  • Augmentative Biological Control
  • Conservation Biological Control
  • Biological Control of Weeds
  • Biological Control of Plant Pathogens
  • Biological Control of Arthropod Pests
  • Ecology, Diversity, and Systematics

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Biological Control: Approaches and Applications” should be selected during your submission.
