Special Issue on  Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology

Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field focused on the application of microorganisms and biotechnological approaches to industrial processes and products. It encompasses microbial fermentation, enzyme technology, metabolic engineering, bio-based materials, bioprocessing, and microbial production of pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, chemicals and biofuels. The field aims to develop efficient, scalable, and sustainable biotechnological solutions while advancing microbial innovation, industrial biomanufacturing and the circular bioeconomy.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue –  Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology” should be chosen during your submission.
