Special Issue on Microbes, Infection and Disease

Microbes, Infection and Disease is an interdisciplinary academic field that investigates microorganisms, their interactions with hosts, and their roles in infectious diseases. It covers microbial biology, pathogenesis, host–microbe interactions, immune responses, antimicrobial resistance, diagnostics and disease prevention. Integrating microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, epidemiology and clinical medicine, the field aims to understand infectious disease mechanisms and develop effective approaches for diagnosis, treatment, prevention and public health.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Microbes, Infection and Disease. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
