Special Issue on Tropical Islands and Biodiversity

Tropical Islands and Biodiversity Research is a specialized interdisciplinary branch of island ecology and conservation biology, which regards tropical island ecosystems as "natural laboratories" to explore the formation, maintenance and threat mechanisms of unique species diversity. It integrates biogeography, soil science, population genetics and socio-ecological system analysis, aiming to reveal the adaptive evolution of endemic species on isolated tropical islands, and provide scientific support for the protection and restoration of fragile island ecosystems. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of Tropical Islands and Biodiversity.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Tropical Islands and Biodiversity. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
