Special Issue on Seismic Engineering
Seismic Engineering is a branch of civil and
structural engineering dedicated to understanding earthquake effects and
developing structures and infrastructure capable of resisting seismic hazards.
It encompasses earthquake-resistant design, structural dynamics, seismic hazard
assessment, soil-structure interaction, structural health monitoring,
retrofitting technologies, performance-based engineering, geotechnical
earthquake engineering, and the resilience of buildings and critical
infrastructure. The field combines engineering principles, geophysics,
materials science, and computational modeling to enhance structural safety,
reduce earthquake-related risks, and improve the resilience of communities and
infrastructure in seismic regions.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Seismic
