Special Issue on Synthetic Biology and
Bioengineering
Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering integrates
engineering principles with molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology to
design, construct, and optimize biological systems for research, industrial,
environmental, and medical applications. It encompasses the development of
synthetic genetic circuits, engineered microorganisms, biomolecular devices,
metabolic pathway engineering, and cell-based technologies to produce valuable
biomolecules, improve human health, and address global challenges. By combining
advances in systems biology, computational modeling, genome engineering, and
bioprocess design, this field drives innovation in biomanufacturing,
sustainable production, precision medicine, environmental remediation, and
next-generation biotechnology.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Synthetic
Biology and Bioengineering. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
