Sustainable Urban Development and Smart Cities brings together research on innovative strategies for creating resilient, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable urban environments through integrated planning, technological advancement, and effective governance. This interdisciplinary field covers topics such as sustainable urban planning, smart infrastructure, digital technologies, intelligent transportation systems, green buildings, renewable energy, urban resilience, climate adaptation, resource efficiency, and citizen-centered governance. It also explores the role of data-driven decision-making, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in improving urban services and quality of life. By combining scientific research, technological innovation, and policy development, this field aims to support the design and management of smart, sustainable, and livable cities for present and future generations.
