Special Issue on Complications of Pregnancy

Complications of Pregnancy is an academic and clinical field that studies medical conditions and adverse events affecting the mother, fetus or both during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. It examines the causes, risk factors, diagnosis, prevention and management of complications such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm birth, placental disorders and maternal infections. The field aims to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes through advances in obstetric care, clinical practice and public health.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Complications of Pregnancy. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Gestational diabetes and metabolic disorders
• Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
• Preterm birth and labor
• Miscarriage and recurrent pregnancy loss
• Multiple pregnancy complications
• Ectopic pregnancy
• Eclampsia and preeclampsia
• Fetal growth restriction and fetal complications
• Placental disorders
• Amniotic fluid complications
• Thrombophilia and coagulation disorders
• Postpartum complications
• Maternal infections during pregnancy
• Maternal medical comorbidities
• Maternal anemia and nutrition disorders
• Maternal critical care and obstetric emergencies
• Maternal mental health
