Special Issue on Political Economy

Political Economy is an interdisciplinary academic field that examines the interactions between political institutions, economic systems and public policy. It explores how governments, markets and social actors influence the production, distribution and allocation of resources. The field integrates economics, political science, sociology and public administration to study topics such as economic development, trade, inequality, governance, regulation, taxation and the political determinants of economic performance and social welfare.
