Special Issue on Anesthesia and Perioperative Care
Anesthesia
and Perioperative Care is a specialized field of medicine dedicated to the
comprehensive management of patients before, during, and after surgical
procedures. It encompasses anesthetic techniques, pain management, patient
monitoring, critical care, and strategies to optimize surgical outcomes and
patient safety. The field integrates advances in pharmacology, medical technology,
and perioperative medicine to ensure effective anesthesia delivery, minimize
complications, and enhance recovery. Research in anesthesia and perioperative
care addresses topics such as airway management, perioperative risk assessment,
enhanced recovery protocols, intensive care, and personalized approaches to
surgical patient care, contributing to improved healthcare quality and clinical
outcomes.
