Special Issue on Farm Animal Production
The
production of animal goods; such as meat, dairy, wool, and leather; is a
multi-billion-dollar-per-year industry and accounts for over half of the value
of U.S. agricultural products. Further, livestock products supply about 13
percent of energy and 28 percent of protein in diets consumed worldwide. The
goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and
academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues
and developments in this area of Farm
Animal Production.
In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Farm
Animal Production. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not
limited to:

nutrition and the interrelations between diet, metabolism, microbiota and
animal health

The use
of functional feed additives to improve animal production

Alternative
feed for livestock species

breeding and genetics

effects of animal feeding on environmental impacts
