Special Issue on Material Processing

Materials processing is defined as the series of steps or “unit operations” used in the manufacture of raw-materials into finished goods. The operations involve a succession of industrial processes with various mechanical or chemical procedures, usually produced in large quantities or batches. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Material Processing.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Material Processing. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Casting, forming and machining
• Bulk deformation processing
• Additive processing and joining technologies
• The evolution of material properties under the specific conditions met in manufacturing processes
• Forging, rolling and extrusion
• Compaction and sintering
• Powder processing (metals and ceramics in powder form)
• Design and behavior of equipment and tools
• Applications for material processing

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
