Special Issue on
Biomaterials Design, Synthesis, and Applications
Biomaterials Design, Synthesis, and
Applications is an interdisciplinary field that integrates materials science,
chemistry, biology, and engineering to create functional materials for
interaction with biological systems. It encompasses the rational design and
fabrication of polymers, metals, ceramics, and composites with tailored
physicochemical and biological properties, along with synthesis strategies that
enable precise control over structure, functionality, and performance. The
field also addresses how these materials behave in physiological environments,
including biocompatibility, degradation, and bioactivity, and supports a wide
range of applications such as tissue engineering, drug delivery, medical
implants, diagnostics, and regenerative medicine.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Biomaterials
Design, Synthesis, and Applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Biomaterials design principles
-
Polymer biomaterials
-
Ceramic biomaterials
-
Metallic biomaterials
-
Composite biomaterials
-
Biomaterials synthesis methods
-
