Special Issue on Applied Sociology and
Development
Applied
Sociology and Development examines how sociological theories, methods, and
empirical insights can be applied to address real-world challenges in social
and economic development. It explores issues such as poverty alleviation,
community empowerment, social inequality, governance, education, health, and
sustainable development, emphasizing the interaction between social structures
and development processes. This field integrates interdisciplinary perspectives
to design, implement, and evaluate policies and programs that promote inclusive
growth and social well-being. By bridging theory and practice, it contributes
to evidence-based decision-making and fosters socially responsive development
strategies across diverse cultural and institutional contexts.
