Special Issue on Industrial Microbiology
Industrial
Microbiology studies the use of microorganisms in industrial processes to
produce valuable products such as antibiotics, enzymes, biofuels and food
ingredients. It integrates microbiology, biotechnology and engineering to
optimize microbial growth, fermentation and bioprocessing techniques. The field
focuses on strain improvement, large-scale production and process efficiency,
aiming to develop sustainable and cost-effective solutions for pharmaceuticals,
agriculture, food, and environmental applications.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Industrial Microbiology. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Fermentation technology
-
Metabolic engineering
-
Industrial biotechnology
-
Microbial strain improvement
-
Bioprocess engineering
-
Industrial enzymes and biocatalysis
-
Biodegradation and bioremediation
-
Food and dairy microbiology
-
Agricultural and plant-microbe interactions
-
Biofuel and bioproducts production
-
Environmental and wastewater microbiology
-
Industrial waste treatment and resource recovery
-
Synthetic biology and systems microbiology
