Special Issue on Complications of Pregnancy

Complications of Pregnancy studies medical conditions that adversely affect maternal or fetal health during pregnancy, childbirth or the postpartum period. It includes disorders such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, preterm birth, infections, and placental abnormalities. The field focuses on causes, risk factors, prevention, diagnosis and management strategies to reduce morbidity and mortality and improve outcomes for mothers and infants.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Complications of Pregnancy. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Gestational diabetes mellitus
• Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
• Preterm birth and labor
• Miscarriage and recurrent pregnancy loss
• Multiple pregnancy complications
• Ectopic pregnancy
• Eclampsia and preeclampsia
• Fetal growth restriction
• Placental disorders
• Amniotic fluid complications
• Thrombophilia and coagulation disorders
• Postpartum complications
• Infections in pregnancy
• Maternal medical comorbidities
• Maternal anemia and nutrition disorders
• Maternal mental health
