Special Issue on Structures and Bridges Engineering
Bridges and
structures are key components of the nation’s roadway network that provide
transportation connectivity to safely cross features such as waterways,
railways, roadways, and other obstacles. Bridges are widely used to cross
rivers, valleys, and roads, providing a passage with other parts of the land
since ancient times to modernity. Each structure has different requirements to
cover, such span clearage, traffic flow, geometry and characteristics of the
place to build; therefore, a great variety of bridges can be developed. The goal of this special issue is to provide a
platform for scientists and academics all over the world to promote, share and
discuss various new issues and developments in Structures
and Bridges Engineering .
In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Structures and Bridges Engineering. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not
limited to:
-
Types of bridges
-
Reinforced, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete bridges
-
Structures and functions
-
Structural analysis and design
-
Bridges construction and materials
-
Maintenance avoids bridge deterioration
-
Degradation process: corrosion, wear and fatigue
-
Testing and monitoring
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Structures and Bridges Engineering” should be selected during your submission.
