Special Issue on Gender Studies
Gender
Studies examines how gender shapes social structures, cultural norms,
identities, and power relations across different contexts. It explores the
construction and representation of femininity, masculinity, and diverse gender
identities, while analyzing their intersections with factors such as race,
class, sexuality, and nationality. The field engages with theoretical
frameworks including feminism, queer theory, and intersectionality to
critically assess inequalities, challenge normative assumptions, and understand
lived experiences. Through perspectives drawn from sociology, anthropology,
history, literature, and political science, Gender Studies contributes to
broader discussions on social justice, human rights, and transformative social
change.
