Special Issue on Photochemical Science
Photochemical
Science is a multidisciplinary field that studies the chemical processes
initiated and driven by light, particularly in the ultraviolet, visible, and
infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. It focuses on understanding
how photons interact with molecules to induce electronic excitation, leading to
chemical transformations, energy transfer, and reactive intermediate formation.
This field integrates principles from chemistry, physics, and materials
science, and plays a crucial role in areas such as solar energy conversion,
photocatalysis, environmental remediation, biological imaging, and photodynamic
therapy. Advances in photochemical science contribute to the development of sustainable
technologies, including light-driven synthesis, renewable energy systems, and
innovative functional materials.
In this special issue, we intend to invite
front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review
articles on exploring Photochemical Science. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Atmospheric photochemistry
-
Biological photochemistry
-
Environmental photochemistry
-
Light induced polymerization
-
Molecular photochemistry
-
