Special Issue on
Urban Resilience and Housing Policy
Urban
Resilience and Housing Policy focuses on the strategies and governance
frameworks that enable cities and communities to withstand, adapt to, and
recover from social, economic, and environmental challenges while ensuring
stable and equitable living conditions. The field examines how housing systems,
urban planning, and public policies contribute to resilience in the face of
climate change, natural disasters, economic shocks, and rapid urbanization. It
also explores issues such as affordable housing, housing security, sustainable
urban development, and inclusive policy design. By integrating perspectives
from urban studies, public policy, and social development, this area aims to
promote resilient housing systems that support long-term urban sustainability
and community well-being.
