Special Issue on 

Advanced Functional Materials and Applications

Advanced Functional Materials and Applications brings together cutting-edge research on the rational design, synthesis, characterization, and technological deployment of materials engineered to deliver targeted electrical, optical, magnetic, catalytic, mechanical, or stimuli-responsive functions. The topic encompasses nanomaterials, smart polymers, advanced ceramics, hybrid composites, energy conversion and storage systems, optoelectronic platforms, biomaterials, and functional surface coatings. Particular emphasis is placed on elucidating structure–property–performance relationships, scalable fabrication strategies, multiscale modeling approaches, and application-driven optimization. Contributions that demonstrate practical implementation in energy systems, environmental technologies, electronics, biomedicine, and sustainable engineering are especially encouraged.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Advanced Functional Materials and Applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
