Special Issue on Chemical Biology Tools &
Probes
Chemical Biology Tools & Probes is an
interdisciplinary special issue theme dedicated to the development and
application of innovative chemical strategies for investigating and manipulating
biological systems with high spatial and temporal resolution. Drawing from
organic synthesis, bioconjugation chemistry, structural biology, and molecular
pharmacology, this topic encompasses activity-based probes, fluorescent and
luminescent sensors, bioorthogonal labeling techniques, covalent inhibitors,
chemoproteomic platforms, and targeted protein degradation technologies.
Particular attention is given to molecular tools that elucidate enzyme
mechanisms, cellular signaling networks, epigenetic regulation, and
disease-associated pathways. Contributions highlighting methodological
innovation, quantitative analytical approaches, and translational potential in
diagnostics or therapeutics are especially encouraged.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Chemical
Biology Tools & Probes. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Activity-based probes
-
Bioorthogonal chemistry
-
Chemical genetics
