Special Issue on Advanced GIS and Geographic
Analysis
Advanced GIS and Geographic Analysis focuses
on the collection, management, analysis, and visualization of spatial data to
understand complex geographic phenomena. It integrates Geographic Information
Systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial statistics, geospatial modeling, and big
data analytics to examine patterns, relationships, and trends across physical
and human landscapes. This theme supports decision-making in areas such as
urban planning, environmental management, transportation, disaster risk
reduction, and resource allocation. By combining cutting-edge technology with
analytical methods, research in this area enhances the accuracy, efficiency,
and applicability of geographic analysis for scientific, social, and
policy-oriented solutions.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Advanced
GIS and Geographic Analysis. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Cartography and map design
-
Disaster management and risk assessment
-
Environmental and ecological GIS applications
-
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) theory
and applications
-
Geographic visualization and 3D modeling
-
