Special Issue on Seismic Engineering

Seismic Engineering focuses on the analysis, design, and performance evaluation of structures and infrastructure subjected to earthquake-induced forces. This special issue highlights advances in seismic hazard assessment, structural dynamics, and earthquake-resistant design methodologies aimed at minimizing damage and loss. Emphasis is placed on performance-based and resilience-oriented approaches, innovative materials and control technologies, and post-earthquake assessment and mitigation strategies that enhance the safety, reliability, and sustainability of the built environment in seismically active regions.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Seismic Engineering. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Base isolation and seismic isolation systems
• Bridge and transportation infrastructure seismic engineering
• Earthquake-resistant structural design
• Energy dissipation and damping devices
• Fragility assessment and vulnerability analysis
