Special Issue on Kidney Disease and Clinical Management

Kidney Disease and Clinical Management focuses on the comprehensive understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of acute and chronic kidney disorders across diverse patient populations. This special issue highlights advances in the pathophysiology of kidney disease, early detection and risk stratification, and evidence-based clinical management strategies, including pharmacological therapies, dialysis modalities, and renal transplantation. Emphasis is placed on multidisciplinary approaches, precision medicine, and the integration of emerging technologies to improve patient outcomes, slow disease progression, and enhance quality of life. Contributions addressing clinical guidelines, comorbidity management, and innovations in nephrology practice are particularly welcomed.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Kidney Disease and Clinical Management. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Acute kidney injury (AKI) diagnosis and management
  • Biomarkers and early detection of kidney disease
  • Cardiorenal syndrome and systemic comorbidities
  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression and staging
  • Clinical guidelines, outcomes research, and health policy in nephrology
  • Diabetic kidney disease and metabolic nephropathy
  • Genetic and inherited kidney diseases
