Special Issue on Food and Drink
Food
and Drink refer to the essential substances we consume to sustain life, provide
energy, and support growth and well-being. They encompass a wide variety of
items, from staple foods like grains, fruits, and vegetables to beverages such
as water, juice, tea, and coffee. Across cultures, food and drink not only
fulfill nutritional needs but also play important roles in social, cultural,

traditions, available ingredients, and culinary creativity, making food and
drink a central part of human experience and identity.
