Special Issue on Biochemical Engineering

Biochemical Engineering, also known as Biochemical Engineering or Biochemical Engineering Science, is a frontier branch of Chemical Engineering that applies the principles and methods of Chemical Engineering to study and solve the fundamental theoretical and engineering technical problems involved in production processes with biological entities or bioactive substances, i.e., biological reaction processes. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Biochemical Engineering.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Biochemical Engineering. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Bioreactor Design and Optimization
• Biocatalyst Preparation and Immobilization
• Bioprocess Engineering
• Bioconversion and Biotransformation
• Bioseparation and Biorefining
• Bioremediation and Environmental Biotechnology
