This book systematically carries out the research on stress deformation analysis and safety control of high concrete face rock-fill dams, summarizes the numerical simulation methods of the safe operation characteristics of high concrete face rock-fill dams, conducts numerical simulation of stress deformation in combination with specific projects, and carries out the monitoring data analysis and safety evaluation of the operation period of face rock-fill dams. Combined with the investigation and analysis of face slab extrusion and damage problems, the damage mechanism and countermeas-ures are studied, and the safety control measures of high concrete face rock-fill dams are proposed from various aspects, such as design, construction and operation management.

Hongjun Lei
male, born in March 1983, PhD and a professor. He graduated from Tsinghua University in July 2010, obtaining a PhD in Engineering. From July 2010 to February 2017, he worked at PowerChina Kunming Engineering Corporation Limited. Since February 2017, he has been teaching at Kunming University of Science and Technology, mainly engaged in teaching and research in the fields of hydraulic structures and geotechnical engineering.
Yongqin Luo
male, born in April 1982, PhD and a senior engineer. He graduated from Sichuan University in 2006 and worked at PowerChina Kunming Engi-neering Corporation Limited from July 2006 to March 2020. In July 2012, he obtained his PhD from Yunnan University. Since May 2020, he has been teaching in Kunming University of Science and Technology.
Rui Duan
female, born in July 2002, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Kunming University of Science and Technology in June 2025. Currently, she is a graduate student pursuing a master's degree and engages in research related to hydraulic structures.
