Dr. Yahia Ibrahim Said is an assistant professor of Geography in the College of Education. A South Sudanese from Adio/Makaraka by tribe, was born in Nimule, 1962. Joined University of Juba, College of Education in 1982, and obtained Bachelor Degree in Education (Arts) in 1986 specialized in Geog-raphy, and English language as a minor subject. He attained a Post Graduate Diploma from University of Khartoum-Faculty of Education in 1994, and Master Degree in Geography (Disaster Management) from International Af-rican University-Institute of Disaster Management and Refugees Studies in 2005. He attained a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Geography in 2011, from University of Juba College of Arts and Humanities. He worked as a Secondary School teacher from (1987 to 1994). He was appointed at Uni-versity of Juba from 1994 up to date. Throughout his career with extensive experiences, he has held a number of senior administrative positions at the University of Juba from (1994 to 2016). He is also a researcher wrote a number of papers on the social issues, geopolitics, and disaster management all about South Sudan.
